Hi, I’m Olivia
I’m a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many expat moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much bigger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more tangled than they should.
The Adjustment Period
The adjustment phase brought culture shocks, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began establishing something that felt steady.
Why I Built Shore Line Canvas
The majority of online information fell into either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourist material. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance based on real life in United Kingdom.
